Just read your article in Outdoor Photographer. Love your work! I really dig the photograph of the Heron snagging a crayfish.

Cal,
It was a surprise to see photos of the Monk Parrot (also often called a Quaker Parrot)among your recent work. As you probably know, they are colonizing various areas of New York City.
My daughter owns a Quaker which is now about 8 years old. Amazing talker and great problem solver.
My wife and I have enjoyed your Birds of Central Park book. I've seen you shooting in the park quite a few times but you've always been so engrossed in your shooting that I havent wanted to disturb you.
I spend a lot of time shooting in the park myself. Mostly macro and general landscape.
Regards.

Cal,
A Snowy Owl in Long Island?! Gee, you really do find them, don\'t you?
Love the photo of the Red-Tail Hawk (PaleMale? Lola?) in flight. Looks like a dive-bomber ready to drop its load! What skill! What agility! What beautiful creatures those Red-Tails are...
Thanks for all your photos. Keep up the Gallery. I enjoy it so much.

Hey Cal...
I loved that photo of the Jay and the fishing lure. Sent the URL to pal in Minnesota who loves to fish.
Also, REALLY digging the GHO fluffing out photos! Thanks for your beautiful work. HOpe you can get to Florida sometime and get the woodstorks on film they are so incredible, especially when they fly in formation. It\'s one of my favorite birding sights. Hard to catch on film though..but you could probably do it! Take care.
