Mapuche Indian Boy Standing at Red Fence

Temuco, Chile

This photograph was taken in 1967 when I was an exchange student in Chile. A number of Mapuche Indians lived on the farm owned by the family I lived with. I lived in Temuco but would visit the farm on weekends. I scanned the slide in 2002 from a Kodachrome slide whose color was just as vibrant as the day it was shot.
